The Holiday Villa Hotel occupies a row of Victorian townhouses with attractive white stucco façades. Recently renovated, the light, airy lobby is decorated in peach, gold and cream tones, complemented by wood panelling and unusual modern chandeliers. Though fairly small on average, the 100 guestrooms feature elegant violet and cream décor and dark wood furnishings. All are maintained in decent condition, as are the en suite bathrooms. The hotel’s Lagenda Malaysian & Chinese Restaurant is a tasteful and cosy venue, serving authentic halal Malaysian and Chinese cuisine: satay, nasi lemak, chicken and fish curry, laksa, crispy tumeric marinated fried chicken, traditional nasi goring, and other popular Chinese favourites.
